I am a media production professional and graduate student at the University of Oklahoma with a passion for live production, esports, videography, and emerging forms of media.
While originally from Pulaski, TN, I grew up in Heavener, OK after moving there at a young age. Oklahoma has been what I call home for most of my life and is where I chose to pursue my education and career.
In Fall 2025, I graduated with a B.A. in Creative Media Production from OU’s Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication. Since Fall 2024, I have served in a leadership role with OU Esports and Co-Curricular Innovation, beginning as the Production Coordinator before transitioning into my current role as the Dynamic Media Coordinator. Through these positions, I have gained extensive hands-on experience in leading a team, producing live esports broadcasts, and developing production operations, among other responsibilities.
Currently, I am pursuing a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in Strategic Communication at Gaylord College, both to further my education and support my interest in teaching media production at the collegiate level. While media production is the foundation of my experience, I chose Strategic Communication to broaden my skill set beyond the technical side of production and develop a stronger understanding of areas such as public relations, marketing, advertising, and audience communication.
Along with my graduate studies, I serve as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for a production class called Sound, Light, and Motion. Between this role and my work with OU ECCI, I have the opportunity to teach media production at the collegiate level in both a traditional classroom and a hands-on production environment.
My professional and research interests center around live broadcast production, esports, gaming, and interactive media. As a lifelong gamer, esports has given me an opportunity to combine a personal interest in gaming with my passion for production and storytelling.
In the short term, my goals are to complete my master’s degree while continuing to grow in my role with OU ECCI. During this time, I hope to continue developing my skills and gaining experience in live production, leadership, teaching, and strategic communication.
My long-term aspirations are to build a career live production, particularly within esports, sports, or news. I’m also interested in collegiate education and hope to keep teaching media production as a part of my career. Ultimately, I want to continue developing both as a media production professional and as someone who can help educate the next generation of media creators and storytellers.
